Special Guest Announcement

The 2012 Calgary Anarchist Bookfair is proud to announce our special guest: Cristy C. Road!

Cristy C. Road is a Cuban-American artist and writer originally from Miami, Florida, but now based in New York City.

From her website:

"Cristy C. Road is floating in a pool of her own blood, sweat, and occasional tears. C. Road is a 30-year-old Cuban-American artist and writer. Blending social principles, sexual deviance, mental inadequacies, and social justice- she thrives to testify the beauty of the imperfect."

Over the last 10 years, Road's repertoire has grown to include independent publishing, magazine illustrations, album art, concert posters, lectures, workshops and political organizing.

The 2012 Calgary Anarchist Bookfair has finalized it's schedule:

Workshops (12pm-6pm) - While you're at the bookfair, make sure to check out the series of workshops and skillshares being presented by comrades from both near and far. A full workshop schedule will be announced shortly.

People's Prom (8pm-12am) - What better way to spend your Saturday night than at the Good Life Bike Shop (148 10 Street NW) with pals, live music and dancing? And to sweeten the deal, the Peopl's Prom will also feature a commencement address from the bookfair's very special guest: Cristy C. Road! Stick around afterwards for the martypartyafterparty, a Kensington/Sunnyside legend.
